FROM BETRAYAL TO JUSTICE: RECLAIMING THE SOCIO-ECONOMIC RIGHTS STOLEN FROM THE PEOPLE OF SOUTH AFRICA

  • For more than three decades, the African National Congress (ANC) has governed South Africa with promises of freedom equality and prosperity but instead, delivered only corruption, division, and economic collapse.
  • Today, millions of South Africans are poorer than they were in 1994. Unemployment has soared above 33%, with youth unemployment exceeding 60% – among the highest in the world.
  • Families struggle to survive while those in power continue to enrich themselves through corruption, tender-fraud, theft, and racketeering.
  • These crimes against citizens strikes at the very heart of our Constitution — Chapter 2: the Bill of Rights — which guarantees every citizen the right to dignity, equality, and freedom. The ANC’s misconduct effectively denies the constitutional rights of millions of ordinary South Africans.
  • Because of the ANC’s reckless policies and diplomatic failures, South Africa has alienated key trading partners such as the United States and removed from the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA).
  • The ANC’s ideologically driven foreign policy destroyed thousands of jobs – losing billions in foreign investments — further crippling an already fragile economy. Vital public Infrastructure is crumbling, the cost of living is rising, and South Africa is now 40% poorer than it was a decade ago.
  • Instead of advancing the people’s rights under Section 27(1) of the Constitution, which requires the state to take reasonable measures to ensure access to decent healthcare, food, water, and social security, the ANC has failed to uphold the most basic conditions for a dignified life.
  • The ANC has stolen the future of the youth. A generation of bright, talented young South Africans have been denied quality education, meaningful employment, and the hope of a dignified life.
  • As a result of rampant corruption and the gross mismanagement of once world-class state resources, South Africa’s youth will inherit a failed state, a stagnant economy, and a political system rigged against them.
  • This betrayal of Section 29(1) the right to basic and further education — has consigned young people to a life of poverty and hopelessness.
  • South Africa’s youth deserve better than empty speeches and broken promises — they deserve a real chance of achieving their hopes and dreams by a government that creates the environment for success.
  • South Africa currently stands at a crossroads.
  • We can no longer tolerate rampant corruption and gross incompetence as an acceptable method of governance.
  • The time has come to rebuild South Africa, restore accountability to citizens, demand competent leadership, and revive economic growth.
  • A government that truly respects the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996, must uphold every right contained in Chapter 2, not just in words but in demonstrable action.
  • We are committed to restoring integrity in our public institutions and ensure justice for all the people of South Africa. We will expose the ANC’s wrongdoing through transparent investigations, public accountability, and lawful proceedings. We will work in partnership with civil society, private prosecutors, and international partners to bring the truth to light.
  • The ANC’s decades-long corruption and failed governance have driven South Africa into economic despair. We are resolute in exposing their misconduct and ensuring that justice is served — both in the courts and in the eyes of history.
